Scope

This policy applies to travel, health, and related insurance products issued by Innovative-Ukraine.com and purchased through the embedded form on this website. Product-specific conditions stated in your policy documents prevail if they differ from this general policy.

Who Handles Refunds

Refund requests and decisions are handled by the insurance provider. The website provides an embedded purchase form and customer support contact details but does not independently approve or issue refunds.

When a Refund May Be Available

Refund eligibility depends on the policy type, the effective dates, and whether coverage has started or a claim event has occurred. A refund, full or partial, may be considered in the following common situations:

  • Cancellation at least 3 days before the policy start date, when coverage has not begun and no insured event has occurred.
  • Duplicate purchase: two policies purchased for the same insured person(s) and period, subject to verification.
  • Purchase error: incorrect dates or insured details, where the policy can be canceled and reissued under underwriting rules.
  • Visa/entry refusal or trip cancellation reasons, only if explicitly covered by your policy terms or add-ons, if applicable.

When a Refund Is Not Available

Typical cases where a refund is not available include:

  • Coverage has already started and the policy terms do not provide for a pro-rata refund.
  • An insured event has occurred, a claim has been filed, or benefits have been provided or initiated.
  • The request conflicts with mandatory policy rules, regulatory requirements, or anti-fraud controls.
  • Non-refundable products or special tariffs as defined in the policy conditions.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact the support team using the details below and provide the information needed to identify your purchase and policy.

Include:

  • Policy number, if issued, and/or order/payment reference
  • Full name of the insured person(s)
  • Policy start and end dates
  • Reason for refund request
  • Supporting documents, if applicable, such as proof of duplicate purchase, correction request, or entry/visa refusal notice

Review and Processing Time

We review refund requests after receiving the required details and documents. Processing time depends on verification needs, the policy type, and bank/payment provider timelines. If additional information is required, processing may be paused until it is received.

Refund Method

Approved refunds are generally returned to the original payment method used for purchase, subject to the payment system and banking rules. Transaction fees charged by banks or payment providers may be non-refundable where permitted by law and payment provider policies.

Policy Changes Instead of Refunds

In some cases, a policy change, such as correction of dates, passport details, or insured persons, may be available instead of cancellation and refund, subject to underwriting rules and the policy’s terms. If a change is approved, any premium difference may be charged or refunded as applicable.

Fraud Prevention and Verification

We may request additional documents to confirm identity, payment ownership, and policy details. Refunds may be declined if the request is inconsistent with policy data, payment records, or fraud-prevention checks.

Entry Rules for Ukraine 2025–2026

Current entry requirements for foreign nationals traveling to Ukraine. Requirements may change due to martial law — check with your nearest Ukrainian embassy before departure.

All foreign nationals entering Ukraine must meet the following requirements:

Valid passport with at least 6 months validity beyond your planned stay. Citizens of some countries require a visa — check visa requirements for your nationality before travel.

Travel medical insurance issued by a company registered in Ukraine or a foreign insurer with a representative or partner in Ukraine. The policy must cover emergency medical expenses and be valid for the entire period of stay.

General entry requirements

  • Foreign nationals may enter Ukraine through designated border crossing points. Entry rules are subject to martial law provisions and may be updated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
  • A valid travel medical insurance policy is recommended for all visitors. Border authorities may request proof of insurance at their discretion.
  • Visa-free entry is available for citizens of the EU, USA, UK, Canada, and many other countries for stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Other nationalities should check visa requirements with the nearest Ukrainian consulate.
  • Electronic queuing systems may be in place at some border crossings. Check the State Border Guard Service website for current wait times and operational status.
  • Certain border crossings may have limited operating hours or temporary restrictions due to the security situation.

Insurance requirements

  • Travel medical insurance covering emergency treatment, hospitalization, and medical evacuation is strongly recommended for all foreign visitors.
  • The insurance policy should be issued by a Ukrainian-registered insurer or a foreign company with an authorized representative in Ukraine.
  • Coverage should include emergency medical expenses of at least EUR 30,000 and be valid for the entire duration of stay.
  • Policies covering passive war risks and radiation exposure are available and recommended given the current situation.
  • Digital insurance certificates are accepted at border crossings — you can present your policy on a mobile device or as a printed document.
  • The Advanced policy purchased through Innovative-Ukraine.com meets official coverage requirements and is accepted at every Ukrainian border checkpoint.

Tips for travelers

  • Register with your country's embassy in Ukraine before or upon arrival. Keep emergency contacts readily available.
  • Monitor official travel advisories from your home country and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine for the latest entry information.
  • Ensure your travel insurance certificate clearly states Ukraine as the territory of coverage and includes emergency contact numbers for the insurer's assistance center.
